It's been awhile!

It’s been a hot minute since I have blogged! I was so caught up last year in the business and bustle of shooting so much that the blog just kind dropped off. Between shooting + working + editing, I did a bad job of catching you all up on the amazing photos I was so lucky to capture.
From backyard weddings, to full on show stoppers; it was a the busiest wedding season I have had personally + professionally. I am not sure if people check out blogs much anymore, but I thought I would do post to show some work, give some behind the scenes and tips/tricks along the way for my peoples.
Starting off with a few gems from Jen + Mike’s Lakeside AirBnB wedding!

First off it was amazing to work with Little Bird Event Co again. Aubyn is incredible at what she does and all the details that made this day special were so special. The location for this sunset was lake side near Sprucewood Shores. This AirBnB hosted their wedding + reception. One thing I tell all my clients is that even though I pose you, you are not stuck in those poses. They are just a guide, a helper. Jenn + Mike ran with it. The random boob + butt grabs and the love they shared just shone through. Using a diffused strobe light in times like these allow for such vibrant colours and help capture the sunset in all its glory. It’s one of my favourite things to capture. It is moments like these that really have been some of my favourite things to capture. Anytime I am shooting a wedding, I find the best spot to take photos in that beautiful sunset + golden hour. I have to say though, these two really stole my heart.

What do you do though if you don’t have a sunset or you are in an urban area?! Can we still get those type photos?
Yes, 100%. With a wedding like Rania + Julien, we were everywhere in a very busy holiday traffic. This didn’t allow for to many photos of them together. They both love outdoors + sunsets but we were in a busy intersection of Vaughn. What do we do?

Let’s go into the road and try to create something unique. 10 minutes later, we had the moment. It was incredible.
One of the things I explain to my clients, simply go with it. Have fun, do crazy things and you will see the results. Their love + joy shines through these photos. Sure it was different. It is a memory that they will have forever. Something I am here to do for everyone of my clients.

Should I post more of this type content for you all? Any other tips or tricks you want to now about? I also have some availability for 2023-24 weddings if you are still looking for someone to capture your day.
