For many people getting married, it is hard to decide whether to get photo books or to just print them as they need them. Because we share so much digitally, we don't often print our images anymore or see the real need to. As a photographer, if I could give you one suggestion it would be to get your wedding photos or any photos that you have done by a professional printed!!
Why? For many reasons.
Firstly, we all can loose the CD, DVD or USB that the files are on! And it happens more than you think. Always back up your files in case this happens.
Secondly, when pictures are only seen on mobile or digitally, they are mostly seen once and only come back on a #TBT day. Or if Facebook reminds you you posted it years ago. I personally enjoy reminiscing, but your beautiful photos were meant to be displayed on more than a phone screen.
Third, there is something special about seeing your once in a lifetime photos printed. The blacks are clear, the colours shine through and you get to see the art realized so much more than a Instagram post.
Recently, I was able to create a beautiful photo book for one of my clients. It was a special order from Italy. Handmade, leather and we ordered metallic photo paper prints. The metal reflects the colour so beautifully, and really adds a depth. Almost making the photos look three dimensional.
