Nathan & Carolyn Engagement Shoot (pt.2) - Bowmanville, ON

Summer is almost here. And with that wedding season is approaching. I am so happy that I have some amazing clients and weddings booked this summer and am really looking forward to capturing some amazing days. Nathan and Carolyn's wedding is coming very soon! After having a great time in the winter, we wanted to shoot again when it was warmer. So glad we did.

Can't wait for their cottage wedding! See you soon guys.

Cars and Castles - Germany

I miss Top Gear (BBC). It was (and still is) my go to show. I throughly enjoyed the ridiculousness of it all. The cars, the challenges and the cars! When Wolfgang asked if I would capture the Cars and Castle tour, I was very, very excited. Yes for the cars. Yes for the castles. But more yes for the Autobahn! At least I thought...

Porsche 918. All sold. Average Price $1.1 Million. 887 HP. Porsche Museum, Stuttgart.

Vintage Lambo

From the Porsche Museum, to BMW World to the Castle in Heidelberg: This tour was a lot to take in. We were able to see and do so many things! Mercedes, BMW and Porsche plant tours. Castles and buildings that were hundreds of years old. Visiting downtown Munich and smaller towns that each have their own uniqueness, history and style.

Downtown Munich.

Stunning Building Design

What really fascinated me about Germany was not its rich history or the amazing cars; it was the art and design. The brilliance of a glass building with a look through wall or a staircase in the BMW museum. There was this element that wasn't just about squares and lines, it was about art.

This way of allowing space for art made me appreciate the design of the car so much more. The line between function and design. Between bonkers and brilliance.  Leaving a legacy and progression.

One post is not enough to do justice to the tour, but I will post more as I edit. If you love cars, art, Top Gear, history design and food! You should keep an eye out for this tour when it comes up next. You will not be disappointed.

#prayfornepal - Kathmandu, Nepal

In 2008, I was deeply impacted by a trip to Nepal. The people. The scenery. The need. It was my first trip overseas with a camera and I found there were times I couldn't put it down. There were also times I couldn't pick it up. And that was before this 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

I know we live in a time where we fundraise to see a video of a Mayor smoking crack,  but there are times when the realities of this world impact us all. Where our money can be better placed and we become a global village.  I went to Nepal with a wonderful organization that has partnered with indigenous peoples to help them become self sustaining and work along side them in Nepal. This organization has feet on the ground and also has very low administrative fees so more of your money goes to the people.

My goal for this post was to show some of the beauty of Nepal. Katmandu was a magical place. I can only imagine the devastation that has taken over 3500 lives to this point. Please join me in #prayfornepal and if you feel like you want to help financially and are not sure where to donate, head over to:

(I am not affiliated with them in anyway. I just know the quality organization they are and have met their team in Nepal when I travelled there)

These images are just a glimpse of this amazing place and people. Praying for Nepal today.

EOD Spark Conference - Kingston, ON

Want to spend a weekend with 500 + Jr. High kids! um. sure?! lol
Seeing teens do something other than texting was a good thing. Seeing them connect with others and God was great. Spark Conference was a good two days to film and photograph.

It is never easy to play with very low light situations. I always try different lighting techniques and try to capture the feel of every event.  With Spark, I was trying to capture the mood/feel of the Jr. Higher's as they were singing/dancing/connecting (and some spacing out) into the music and God.

It was great seeing old friends, making new ones and getting to do what I love to do.

Nathan & Carolyn Engagement Shoot - Bowmanville, ON

It has been soooo cold recently. It was a balmy -8 when we shot, but it was beautiful with the snow. Nathan and Carolyn were up for shooting despite the weather and I am glad they did! I wont say the weather cooperated, but it was nicer out that it has been.  Either way, there is something about shooting in the snow that gives some great depth to photos that I really like. Combine that with great clients and it was a fun day.

Thanks to Nate and Carolyn for being awesome and sticking through the snow and the cold. Cant wait to capture their wedding in the summer. #havethebestclients
