This winter has been an anomaly weather wise. It was the coldest it has been all winter this week, but changed just in time for this lovely couples engagement shoot. Combined with the snow, it made for a great day shooting.

It was such a fun time connecting with these two. And I was excited to capture some wintery outdoorsy look/feel engagement photos. From the fire pit, to the open woods; we found a couple great spots to shoot around Port Hope and Newtonville. (tip for engaged couples! Never be afraid to just drive, explore what is around you. You never know what you will find) Here are a few samples from our super fun photoshoot...

Kaitlyn & Anthony Engagement Shoot - Bowmanville, ON

Can not say it enough that fall is a great time to shoot photos. In this post is a very cute couple Kaitlyn & Anthony. They were up for driving around a little and open to suggestions about some locations that I wanted to try. So happy they were down for staying out on a cold fall day! For this shoot, I wanted to grab not only the colours, but allow their personalities to shine though. That each location would complement them as a couple.

Cold fall day, but a lot of fun. I really enjoy getting to know my clients and allowing them to shine. I love it when their social media gets a tonne of likes and comments as they shine though the photos. To me, I am trying to capture the love and connection that is there; to grab these unique moments and translate them as creatively as I can to distinctive photos.

Andre & Shannon Wedding Sneak Peek - Toronto Hunt Club, Scarborough, ON

Autumn weddings are beautiful. The fall colours make it a great time to shoot photos. However, every now and then you get the fall weather which is unpredictable at best.

I was very excited to capture Andre & Shannon's wedding day. I knew that there would be a lot of unique touches and a lot of love. But the weather was miserable. Any time you have bad weather, it can be a challenge. With the right bridal party and couple, it could be a great opportunity! When the bride and groom are ready for the cold, the wind and the rain; you know it could make some very interesting photos.

It was my first time @ the Toronto Hunt Club and I have to say it was a great venue. Here is a small peek into their day.

After having a great time shooting Brad & Kelly's engagement session, I was super excited to shoot and be a small part of capturing this lovely couples wedding day. Fall is a great time for family photos. I was excited when Matt mentioned the location he wanted to get some family photos done. I can not express how much I love colour in photos. Graffiti is a great back drop and it is always made better with beautiful people!
